Louisa originally specialised in neurological rehabilitation, working at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. She completed the Adult Bobath course in 2001.

In 2003 she set up a private practice in Stockholm, Sweden, working with both musculoskeletal problems and neurological patients. She qualified in Swedish massage, adding this to prior skills of deep tissue manipulation and myofascial release.

With her background in neurology and experience in treating musculoskeletal problems, she is able to identify abnormal movement patterns and apply corrective manual techniques. She utilises skills learnt on muscle balance/kinetic control courses to prescribe tailored exercise in order rehabilitate the individual to their full potential.

She has been working at Park Physiotherapy for the last 4 years.

She is also a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner having completed 6 years of training including a 2.5 year internship. The Rosen Method is established in 13 schools worldwide including the USA and Sweden, where Louisa first encountered the work. Rosen Method is hands-on touch therapy that addresses deeply held muscle tension: Unexplained aches, pains and tiredness can be the body’s attempt to manage underlying difficult or unacknowledged emotions. This work helps bring us into deeper awareness of these tensions and with a gentle, supportive touch and dialogue from the Rosen Practitioner, allows us to open up more fully into our potential and release long standing habitual tension.
